MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE ONLINE INDEX
AND ISSUES OF ROUNDUP

The Online Index was compiled as a reference to Roundup issues and those that have been shared by others and recreated online. The columns of the index are as follows (left to right):

If the issue has been re-created online, a bullet appears in this column. Clicking on the bullet will open the corresponding page in a new window.

If the original issue was incomplete (missing pages, partial pages, etc.), the bullet is gray in color. Clicking on the bullet will open the corresponding page in a new window.

PUBLICATION DATE - Roundup was published on Thursday of each week except for the issues from October 8, 1943 through December 16, 1943, which were published on Friday.  The extra day allowed Roundup to publish the week's football scores from the States.  One "Extra" was published on an unknown date (see below).

VOLUME - One volume is one year's worth of weekly issues. 52 issues. Roundup was published for 3½ years, so there are four volumes.

NUMBER - The Number of the issue in the volume.  The first issue of the Volume is Number 1, the last Number 52.  The only exception is the 1945 Volume of issues.  A "V-E Day Souvenir Edition" was published and given the next Volume Number in sequence.  This resulted in 53 issues in the Volume and the final issue of the volume was designated No. 52A.

SHARED BY - This person provided the original issue from which the Internet page was created. In some cases more than one person provided the issue or multiple copies were received. More than one name appears in this case.

If you have a copy of Roundup that is not on the list, or one that is listed as incomplete, please consider helping to complete this online history by sharing your piece of CBI history with others on the Internet.   SHARE YOUR ROUNDUP

NOTE - Any special information about the particular issue or the re-creation of it.  In some cases only a single story or single sheet (4 pages) of the issue were provided.  Roundup almost always contained 12 pages which required 3 sheets of paper.  Sheets contained pages 1,2,11,12;   3,4,9,10;   5,6,7,8.

ROUNDUP ONLINE - As of July 2021, 184 of the original 188 issues of Roundup have been recreated online. There are also five issues of Chota Roundup recreated (Total number of these published is unknown).
