Willis served with the 6th Ferrying Squadron in India.  After an air crash in Burma, he remained behind and lived with a Naga tribe for nine months, reporting Japanese air traffic and troop movements. He's pictured at right in 1943 with a Naga tribesman.  Below are Naga earrings made from goat hair.
