Of the 16 million Americans who served in the Armed Forces of the United States during World War II,
only a relatively small percentage served in the far-off China-Burma-India Theater, "Twelve Thousand Miles from Main Street, U.S.A."
It was also distant from the pages of newspapers back home as Europe and the Pacific grabbed the headlines.
In fact, to this day, it is a little-known part of history.
Here however, the men and women of the CBI Theater and their service is remembered and honored.
